About the Space

Cypraea is a creative studio and community space, rooted in intention, creativity, nature, and heart. When you host here, you're not just renting four walls; you're borrowing a space built for slowing down, gathering, and making things that matter.

How to Host

There are two ways to make Cypraea your own for a few hours or a full weekend. The studio space is available to rent after our coworking hours end on weekdays, or around Cypraea’s own creative programming.

Private Creative Workshops

Host your own class, workshop, or creative session exactly as you envision it. This is your workshop to run from start to finish… You’ll market it, sell your own tickets, and keep 100% of the revenue. We're simply here to hold the space for it!

Beverages are included to support your participants and keep the focus on the work.

Rent the space for a photoshoot, a dinner party, a team offsite, a private gathering, or any occasion that calls for a beautiful, intimate space in the heart of Cardiff by the Sea.

If you’re interested in doing creative activities or would like a private creative workshop for your guests, we can help curate, provide supplies, or plan that in addition.

FAQs

Is there a minimum booking time?

We require a 2-hour minimum when booking the space, whether to host a private workshop or your own gathering. For community artists and teachers booking the space to run their own workshop or class, we allow up to 1 hour of setup and breakdown time free of charge.

If you need less than two hours, including setup and breakdown time, reach out and let’s find a way to work together! Alternatively, if you’re looking to book the space for a half-day, full-day, or full weekend, reach out for our discounted rates.

Can I bring in outside catering?

You can bring in your own food and beverages, but we ask that everything is appropriately cleaned up to avoid a cleaning fee. We don’t have fridge space or any way to heat food up, so please keep that in mind. We also have some amazing neighboring restaurants for take-away! No alcohol allowed.
